Clark: Give your all for Broadbent

Barrow coach Dave Clark has urged his side to give their all to make sure Gary Broadbent‘s last home game is a success.

The former Salford and Whitehaven full-back retires at the end of the season, and Clark said: “He’s such a consistent professional. The way he conducts himself on and off the field, he’s been a role model to young players at Barrow and in the Barrow area.

“It will be a big loss to see him go at the end of the year, but hopefully we can put a decent performance together and he can bow out on a high.”

Matt James is suspended, but Martin Ostler could come back into contention after training earlier this week without reporting any problems.

Clark added: “Knowing Sheffield over the years, they’re quite a dominant, physical side and that’s something we’ll have to be aware of – but we’ve got the personnel here who can match any pack.”

Eagles coach Mark Aston will be without Alex Rowe (broken arm), with either Sam Scott or Eddie Battye expected to feature instead.
