Chris Worrall has signed a new one-year contract with Swinton.

The Swinton-born player joined Stuart Littler’s side ahead of the 2018 season, making his debut in a pre-season friendly against Wigan Warriors reserves.

Worrall, 22, made 11 appearances for the Lions in 2018 and is made up to stay at the club next year.

He said: “I’m made up to sign another year with Swinton and hoping to become a consistent Championship player this season.

“I feel like I have improved as the season went on and I know I will only get better with another pre-season under my belt and have full confidence in the coaching staff to get the best out of me.

“There is no better feeling playing for my hometown team and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them once again next season. Roll on 2019.”

Worrall joins Mike Butt, Ryan Gray, Jack Hansen, Rhodri Lloyd, Luke Waterworth and Daley Williams in committing to Swinton for next season.
