Huddersfield have confirmed that assistant coach Chris Thorman has left the club.

The 37-year-old had spent time away from the Giants this off-season and following a meeting, it was agreed that it was in the best interests of all parties to mutually end his six-year coaching spell with the club.

On Thorman’s departure, Giants’ managing director Richard Thewlis said: “Chris will be remembered fondly by the Giants supporters for his time both playing and coaching at the club.

“He is without doubt someone with the best interest of the club at heart and I know this decision to move on was a very difficult one for him to take.

“We all here wish him well in the future.”

Luke Robinson will take over as assistant coach from Thorman.
