RFL Chairman Brian Barwick, said: “I welcome Chris to the RFL Board. He has a wealth of financial, commercial and marketing experience which has won industry-wide recognition.

Brindley himself is very pleased to be taking on his new role.
“I am delighted to be joining the board of the RFL,” he said.
“Rugby league is a fantastic sport that is appreciated by millions of people across the country. Last season was one of the best in the modern era and there is a real opportunity to build on what was an outstanding 2015.
“Rugby league is in a strong place and I look forward to working with fellow board members on the opportunities and challenges that face the sport in the coming years.”
