Warrington have confirmed that Chris Bridge will leave the club at the end of the season in order to join Widnes.

The 31-year-old utility back has inked a two-year deal with the Vikings.

He has been at Warrington since 2005, and has scored 107 tries for the club, as well as picking up a Challenge Cup winner’s medal in 2009.

“I’d like to thank Chris for giving great service to Warrington for over 10 years,” said Warrington head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith.

“Chris has played his part in some special moments at Warrington and will be remembered fondly for the skilful displays he has regularly delivered.

“He’s had a frustrating last couple of years with injuries but I’m sure Chris will be doing his all to provide us with some more special moments before moving on next season.

“We wish him and his family the very best for their new venture in 2016.”
