Chisholm stays with Oldham

Winger Jamel Chisholm has signed a new one-year contract to stay with Oldham.

Chisholm joined the Roughyeds at the start iof 2016.

“I’ve really enjoyed my first season at Oldham,” he said.

“I know Mo Agoro (ex-Oldham winger) from our days together at Leeds and he told me before I signed that Oldham was a good club and I would never regret putting pen to paper.

“He was right. I had a few injuries when I left Leeds, and it’s great to be playing regularly again and scoring a few tries.”

Chisholm heads the club’s try list with 1-, two more than fellow winger Adam Clay and forwards Danny Langtree and Michael Ward.

Coach Scott Naylor said he is happy with the improvements Chisholm has made to his game in his first season at Oldham.

“Jamel has lots of improvement in him yet,” he said.

“We’ve still to see the best of him. He’s a lot more to give.”
