Chester thinks Hull KR are a more exciting team now

Hull KR coach Chris Chester has looked back over his first year in charge of rhe Robins, and believes that they are now much more fun to watch.

Chester took over from Craig Sandercock, initially on an interim basis, in July 2014, and he admits that there have been ups and downs along the way.

“There’s been lots of highs – a high is a high but the lows have been very low,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“We didn’t start particularly well in 2015 but we’ve certainly showed signs of improvement over the last four to six weeks.

“I genuinely think we’re a more exciting team than what we have been over the last few years.

“We spoke in pre-season about how we wanted to be perceived and that’s a good, honest footballing side that like to throw the ball around. I think we’ve achieved that objective.

“There’s lots of things looking back that I could have, and should have, done a little differently, but I’m happy with my first 12 months in charge. However it’s about learning every week.”
