Manly rookie Daly Cherry-Evans says he is ready to take on the NRL‘s big guns alongside Kiwi lynchpin Kieran Foran.

Cherry-Evans, 21, has played with Foran in the Toyota Cup and is set to take on the number seven jersey from Trent Hodkinson who has joined Canterbury.

And the former Redcliffe junior says he can’t wait to resume his partnership with Foran.

“We had a very good relationship in the halves, we took our side to a minor premiership in the 20’s,” said Cherry-Evans.

“Kieran is a great half to play with, he’s very experienced and he’s been there before [first grade] so I’m looking forward to it.”

Cherry-Evans spoke highly of the Sea Eagles’ management and fellow players in helping him settle at Brookvale.

“They’ve been great with tips and hints and little reminders of how to be professional and how to play well.

“Every bit of advice they give me I really try to take in because they’ve been there before at the top level.”
