Castleford Tigers half-back Rangi Chase has been suspended for two matches after he appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Chase was found guilty of committing a Grade B punching offence in the eighth minute of Castleford’s victory over Bradford Bulls last weekend.

Chase, who pleaded guilty to the charge, was also fined £300 by the Disciplinary Committee.

Bradford Bulls hooker Matt Diskin has avoided any suspension after he was brought before the committee charged with use of his knees in the same fixture. Diskin has received a warning letter which will be considered in any future disciplinary incidents.
