Chase enjoying new challenge

Salford Red Devils star Rangi Chase says he is enjoying the challenge at his new club.

Chase, 27, is one of several high-profile captures by Salford’s ambitious owner Dr Marwan Koukash, and they are fancied by many to do well in Super League this season, under experienced coach Brian Noble.

The England international is set to feature alongside Australian Tim Smith at half-back, while the likes of Harrison Hansen, Adrian Morley and Gareth Hock have been brought in to lie down a platform for the diminutive stand-off.

He said: “Moving to Salford is something I needed personally, I needed a change. That’s nothing against Castleford.

“I’m enjoying it so much at the moment, because it is a new challenge.

“We’re looking good in training, so hopefully we can pull it off when it comes to playing.

“The aim is to play to our potential and if we do that, we can do very well.”
