Chargers win first ever Challenge Cup match

test

South West London Chargers are into the second round in their debut Challenge Cup campaign.

Terence Puna and Paul Wojciechowicz scored the tries in a 12-6 victory for the Chargers, over last year’s South Wales Conference premiers, Torfaen Tigers.

Hooker Adam Tran also kicked two goals for the home side, in what was a huge defensive effort from both teams.

Gareth Roberts scored a late consolation for the Tigers, but it is the Chargers, invited into the 2014 Challenge Cup because of their Harry Jepson Trophy success, who move within two wins of a possible tie against a Super League club.
