Two players from Championships clubs have been suspended by the RFL Disciplinary Committee after being found guilty of foul play in recent matches.

Toulouse Olympique prop Brendan Worth has been banned for one match and fined £50 for head-butting a Keighley Cougars player in the sides’ Co-operative Championship fixture in Toulouse on March 20. Worth, who was sent off, pleaded guilty.

Hunslet Hawks player Richard Chapman was also suspended for one match and fined £50 for a high tackle on Luke Branighan in a Northern Rail Cup tie at Halifax on March 21.

The Disciplinary Committee took into consideration Chapman’s guilty plea, his immediate remorse and the fact that this was his first appearance before them for six years in handing down a one-match suspension for the Grade B offence.
