Premier Sports Performance of the Week – Dewsbury Rams

Dewsbury Rams moved up to sixth place in the Kingstone Press Championship table with a crucial 24-10 win over play-off rivals Doncaster.

The victory saw them leapfrog Doncaster as the Championship reaches its climax.

Coach Glenn Morrison said: “That was probably our best performance of the season.

“I said to the boys that we needed to treat that game as a Grand Final to get us into the play-offs.

“But we don’t want to leave it at that.

“Now we want to take some momentum into the finals and carry on with it.”

Premier Sports Try of the Week – Will Sharp (Featherstone Rovers)

In-form Featherstone Rovers winger Will Sharp scored a superb solo effort amongst his hat-trick of tries against Whitehaven.

The former Super League winger completed his treble with two in the closing stages of the 52-4 win over Whitehaven – including a brilliant individual effort.

There were less than two minutes remaining when Sharp received the ball 60 metres from the visitors’ line.

He beat Whitehaven players Jamie Rooney and Rhys Clarke on a thrilling run to the line that brought the house down at the BigFellas Stadium.
