Championship Shield semi-finals confirmed

Favourites Toulouse will host Dewsbury in the Championship Shield semi-finals on Saturday September 23.

The French side are currently 18 points clear of the Rams in the table, having narrowly missed out on a place in The Qualifiers following the end of the regular season.

Results at the weekend meant that the top four spots in the shield are now fixed in, with the other semi-final seeing Batley host Sheffield.

There will be a new name on the Championship Shield trophy this year, now in its third season.

It was won by Featherstone, 36-4 over London, in 2015 while Bradford won it last year, beating Sheffield 27-16.
