Championship round-up: Toronto beat Toulouse, Cresswell inspires Barrow, three teams joint second

The top five in the Championship table is extremely tight after round 18. 

Bradford Bulls edged past Halifax 24-20 at Odsal Stadium.

Ethan Ryan, Elliot Minchella and Jy Hitchcox (2) scored for the hosts. Bradford’s George Flanagan was sin-binned in the second half for tripping.

Leigh Centurions put in a dominant display to thrash Dewsbury Rams 40-0 at the Tetley’s Stadium.

Liam Forsyth (2), Luke Douglas (2), Stefan Marsh (2) and Mitch Cox.

Toronto Wolfpack won the top of the table clash as they beat Toulouse Olympique 28-16 at the Lamport Stadium.

Greg Worthington (2), Matty Russell and Andy Ackers got on the scoresheet for the Canadian club.

A young Widnes Vikings side pulled off a fine 28-22 victory against Batley Bulldogs at the Halton Stadium.

Anthony Gelling, Dan Norman, Jayden Hatton, Chris Dean and Jay Chapelhow went over for the Vikings. Jacob Dugdale made his debut at hooker for Widnes and was the star of the show.

Ryan Millar bagged a hat-trick to help Sheffield Eagles beat Rochdale Hornets 46-24 at the Olympic Legacy Park.

Oliver Davies, James Meadows (2), Anthony Thackeray and Pat Moran also scored for the Eagles. Meadows was sin-binned early on for interference at the play-the-ball.

Luke Cresswell scored a hat-trick to inspire Barrow Raiders to a 38-16 victory against Featherstone Rovers at the LD Nutrition Stadium.

Stargroth Amean (2), Jamie Dallimore and Dan Morrow also crossed the whitewash for the Raiders.

York City Knights were made to work for the two points as they defeated Swinton Lions 26-12 at Heywood Road.

Cameron Scott, Marcus Stock, Graeme Horne and Liam Salter went over for the Knights.

Toronto are flying high at the top of the Championship on 34 points, while Toulouse, Leigh and York are joint second on 24 points. Featherstone are in fifth on 22.
