There were a couple of position changing results in Championship on the weekend.

Sheffield Eagles took a step closer to securing their Championship status for 2019 after beating Barrow Raiders 28-10 at Olympic Legacy Park. Cory Aston produced a classy display at half-back and bagged a brace.

Leigh Centurions kept their top four hopes alive after easing past Swinton Lions 50-24 at Leigh Sports Village. Matty Dawson-Jones and Craig Hall scored two tries each for the Centurions, but the game wasn’t a classic, despite 13 tries being scored.

Toronto Wolfpack claimed their 18th league win on the bounce after thrashing Rochdale Hornets 52-10 at Lamport Stadium. Gary Wheeler scored two tries for the Canadian club. Toronto pair Chase Stanley and Darcy Lussick were sin-binned for fighting, while Rochdale ace Toby Adamson was also sin-binned for fighting.

Dewsbury Rams weathered a late storm from Batley Bulldogs to seal a 23-20 victory at the Tetley’s Stadium. Lucas Walshaw scored twice for Dewsbury, while Batley hooker Alistair Leak was sin-binned for a professional foul.

London Broncos came from being 7-0 down at half-time to pick up a vital 14-7 win over Featherstone Rovers at the LD Nutrition Stadium. Featherstone are now left on depending on other results next week to see if they have a spot in the Qualifiers. Kieran Dixon was brilliant for the Broncos in the second half.

A late try from Shane Grady sealed an emphatic 19-14 win for Halifax against Toulouse Olympique at the MBi Shay. Toulouse were 14-13 ahead until Grady went over in the 74th minute. Brandon Moore put in an outstanding display for Fax.

Toronto, Toulouse, London and Halifax are currently in the top four, with the latter three being on 31 points. Featherstone and Leigh sit just below on 30 points. It all boils down to the final round.
