Here’s what happened in each of the five Championship ties played this weekend…

Dane Chisholm scored in the closing stages as Featherstone made it 13 wins from 13 in the Betfred Championship against Bradford at Odsal.

James Webster’s side, who won the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup at Wembley, came out 36-30 victors with James Harrison and Fa’amanu Brown both scoring twice in the close encounter.

An Adam Tangata hat-trick inspired Halifax to a 40-28 victory over Sheffield to give them their seventh successive win and put the Panthers in third place on the Betfred Championship table.

Batley dominated Newcastle winning 42-12 running in seven tries courtesy of Jack Blagbrough, Ben Kaye, Nyle Flynn, Lucas Walshaw, Kieran Buchanan, Levi Edwards and Ben White.

A Callum Phillips brace helped Whitehaven secure a 28-24 victory against Oldham at the LEL Arena making it three wins out of the last four for the Cumbrian side.

York put bottom of the table Swinton to the sword with a 46-10 victory thanks to tries from Kieran Dixon (2), Matty Marsh (2), Chris Clarkson, Ronan Dixon, Danny Kirmond and Tyme Dow-Nikau.
