In Thursday’s televised game, Batley survived a second half fightback from Halifax to sneak a late 32-28 win. 

In a game of one half, that being at the bottom of the Mount Pleasant hill, both sides scored the vast majority of points at one end.

Danny Maun scored the winner with less than five minutes to go, as the visitors clawed their way back level from 28-6 down.

Widnes finished their regular season early and signed off in spectacular style.  The Vikings tore their way into in-form Whitehaven, winning 58-10 at Stobart Stadium.

Richard Fletcher and Richard Varkulis both landed braces for the home side.

Toulouse beat Doncaster 52-6 as centre Constant Villegas scored twice.

Featherstone lost at home to Barrow on Sunday, as the table-topping Raiders won 46-28.  James Nixon scored two.

Gateshead defeated relegation rivals Leigh 30-24.  Nick Youngquest scored a hat-trick to keep up the pressure on the Centurions.

In the Championship One, Dewsbury remained undefeated with a 40-28 success over Rochdale. 

Keighley beat local rivals Hunslet 20-16, with Gavin Duffy scoring late on to seal the win.

York won at fellow promotion hopefuls Oldham.  Two Sean Hesketh tries helped the Knights to a 37-24 victory.

Swinton beat London Skolars 40-14 and Blackpool defeated Workington 22-10.
