Whitehaven coach Dave Woods has urged his side to follow up last week’s comprehensive victory over London Skolars with another impressive display on Sunday.

Whitehaven won 62-16 after travelling to the capital, and now return to Kingstone Press Championship action with huge confidence.

Woods said: “We were pretty happy with our first half. We did a lot of things right and really set the platform.

“We’ve got to make the most of this week and try to get a good win against Barrow.

“They’re hot and cold; they’ve won a few and then lost a couple by big scores, but we know that whenever they play us they’ll be fired up.

“Darren (Holt) will have picked this as a three pointer for them. They’ll be fired up for sure.”

Woods has a fully fit squad to pick from, while Barrow Raiders coach Darren Holt is sweating on the fitness of captain Liam Harrison (wrist).

Holt admitted: “It would be a big blow if Liam wasn’t available.”

Jamie Butler and Ruairi McGoff will also be checked later in the week.
