Cory Aston and Colton Roche are both battling for places in Mark Aston’s side to face Workington Town.

Cory Aston, 18, could make his first league appearance, while Roche narrowly missed out on selection against Keighley Cougars on Friday.

Workington’s Jarrad Stack (new) and Callum Phillips (ribs) both face late fitness tests before Town coach Gary Charlton finalises his team.

Charlton, who has publicly set his side a target of 33 league points in order to secure their survival in the Kingstone Press Championship, was given a major boost with Sunday’s shock win at Batley Bulldogs.

Town are now just one point away from their target, with seven games still to play.

Charlton said: “We have a few knocks and bumps to assess, but I hope we can re-produce the effort we showed against the Bulldogs.”
