Championship Play-off Preview: Featherstone v Leigh

Tim Spears starts a two-match ban as Featherstone Rovers’ football manager Sean Long insists his team are not content – despite finishing top for the fourth successive year.

Long said: “Even when we’re winning by large margins, we’re still not happy – and that’s a good sign.”

He added: “Leigh are a top side and they’ve already got silverware under their belt.

“It’ll be an interesting fixture and a tough one that we’re all looking forward to, but we know we’ve got it in us. We showed that against Sheffield.”

Rob Parker is unlikely to feature for Leigh, while Featherstone’s Sam Barlow faces the club he is expected to join next year.

Centurions coach Paul Rowley said: “Featherstone are back on form. They’ve got a strong side and for anyone to beat them, they’ve got to be good.”

Adam Higson (suspended) is also missing for the visitors.
