Former South Wales Scorpions captain Neil Dallimore is back with his old club – and looks set to make his return in Sunday’s Kingstone Press Championship One clash against Gloucestershire All Golds.

Scorpions coach Mike Grady has convinced Dallimore to rejoin the Scorpions for the rest of the season.

Grady said: “Neil’s a fantastic rugby league player. I’ve been massively impressed with him and I’m glad to have got him on board.”

Scott Giles is a major doubt for the hosts, adding to an injury list that already contains seven first-team players.

Grady added: “We’re all working hard and the team spirit here is the best I’ve ever been involved in. It might take a while, but we’ll get there.”

James Walter could return for the All Golds after missing last week’s fixture through illness.

All Golds coach Steve McCormack said: “We’re moving forward. We’re disappointed we didn’t get the win last week, but we improved in certain areas.

“The attitude of everyone involved, both on and off the field, is absolutely first class. Everyone’s willing to muck in and learn, and that’s a great starting point for everything else we want to achieve.”
