The Rugby League awards winners for the Championship and League 1 have been announced.

Hall, whose promotion-chasing side will play Batley on Saturday for a place in the Million Pound Game, beat his team-mate James Harrison. Toulouse captain Johnathon Ford and Batley half-back Tom Gilmore for the big prize at the Championship and League 1 awards evening. Batley’s Craig Lingard was named coach of the year. Oldham prop forward Tyler Dupree won the young player of the year award.The Betfred League 1 player of the year is winger Rob Massam, of North Wales Crusaders, whose coach Anthony Murray was named coach of the year.Young player of the year in League 1 is Keighley outside back Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e, who has signed for Hull KR for 2022.

York and Barrow won the club-of-the-year awards in recognition of their performances on and off the field. A new award, the Our League Entertainer of the Year, decided by a poll of fans, went to Whitehaven winger Lachlan Walmsley.

The Rugby League awards winners were determined by a poll of head coaches from the two divisions. It was revealed in a show streamed online on the Rugby Football League’s Our League app.
