Championship forward handed two-match ban

Swinton prop Gavin Bennion has been handed a two-match penalty for Grade C dangerous contact.

The Wales international received a Grade C dangerous contact charge in their 30-12 win over Barrow last time out.

Bennion will miss the Lions’ upcoming games in the Championship against Leigh and Featherstone.

Elsewhere, Doncaster star Ryan Boyle has been banned for one match for Grade B striking with his knees.

Huddersfield back-rower or centre Sam Hewitt has picked up a two-game suspension while playing for Workington on loan for a Grade B trip.
