Challenge Cup sixth round draw

Holders Warrington face a tricky opening to their defence of the Challenge Cup, after they were drawn at Wigan in the sixth round draw.

Barely an hour after the suspension of the season was announced, the draw went ahead in Salford – moved from its original location in New York due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The sixth round is due to take place on the weekend of April 4/5, meaning that they are the next scheduled games in the calendar with action currently suspended until April 3.

Last year’s finalists St Helens travel to Salford in a repeat of last season’s Grand Final, while the only League One club remaining in the competition, Newcastle Thunder, take on Toronto Wolfpack.

Championship sides Sheffield, Featherstone, Widnes and York were drawn against Super League opposition in the shape of Hull, Wakefield, Catalans and Castleford respectively.
