Challenge Cup Preview: Hull FC v Leeds

Hull FC head into this game hoping for revenge for last week’s Super League defeat at Headingley.

As was as sore pride, another consequence of that defeat is the loss of Marc Sneyd, suspended for two games following an incident involving Danny McGuire.

Tom Lineham and Kirk Yeaman return to Lee Radford‘s squad.

McGuire is included in the Leeds squad, which also features Adam Cuthbertson and Liam Sutcliffe. All three were injury doubts earlier in the week,

Friday’s game will be the seventh (and fourth in the quarter-finals) Challenge Cup meeting between the sides since 2000 – Hull’s only win in that period came in the 2005 Final at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

The last three Cup fixtures between the sides have all been preceded by a Super League clash at Headingley the previous weekend, with the Rhinos winning all three of those league meetings (46-30 in 2010, 20-0 in 2011 and 32-20 last Sunday).

Leeds’ Kevin Sinfield has scored in 23 consecutive games against Hull FC, a streak which began in the Rhinos’ 23-16 defeat at the KC Stadium on 4 August, 2006.
