Centurions sign Sydney Bulls Skipper

Leigh Centurions have signed Sydney Bulls skipper Nathan DeBartolo.

DeBartolo, 26, can play at either halfback or hooker, and is an ex-Sydney Roosters junior, captaining their reserve side before moving to the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2001, where he made  number of first team appearances.

He then led the Sydney Bulls to their Grand Final, called the Jim Beam Cup. Speaking exclusively to Leigh's website Director of Football Stephen Grainey said: "Both Darren Shaw and myself have made extensive enquiries about Nathan – speaking to the people who have coached him and people who have played with or against him."

He continued: " I have seen videos of him and he looks just like the sort of half back we have been looking for – plus he is also an accomplished hooker and can play at Loose forward."

"He can't wait to get over here – he will be over as soon as possible and his wife and young family will follow. He is a good pair of hands who we will be looking to steer around the park."
