St Helens prop Jason Cayless has been ruled out for six to eight weeks, after suffering medial knee ligament damage.nnThe New Zealand international, 28, could miss the huge Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Leeds on July 26, after suffering the injury during Friday night’s 52-10 win over Hull KR.nnHe was involved in an altercation with Rovers second rower Clint Newton, in which he was caught with a late high tackle and then struck in the face on the floor.nnLoose forward Chris Flannery, also 28, has suffered a similar injury, but has a slightly better chance of featuring in next month’s semi.nn”We are glad that they are not cruciate injuries but it will be touch and go for the semi-final for Flannery, let alone Cayless,” said head coach Daniel Anderson.nn”It’s tough because Mike Bennett and Nick Fozzard are not available but we have a good squad that are beginning to hit top form,” he added.
