Catalans Dragons have signed Fijian international Brayden Wiliame on a two-year contract from the start of the 2017 season.

William joins Catalans from the Manly Sea Eagles.

Wiliame said: “I am really excited to be joining the Catalans Dragons. I have enjoyed my time at Manly but look forward to playing aside Greg Bird and helping the Dragons chase a premiership.”

Wiliame, 23, who can play anywhere in the backline from the centres to fullback, made his first grade debut for the Parramatta Eels in 2013.

He then went to Newcastle where he played in the NSW Cup before joining Manly in 2015.

Williame made 23 appearances for the Sea Eagles, scoring 6 tries in 18 games in 2016.

Catalans Dragons Head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “I’m really satisfied with the signing of Brayden.

“He has the profile we were looking for, I mean a young player, ambitious, with a real sense of professionalism on and off the field.

“He already has a great experience in the NRL despite his young age and his versatility is a real asset.

“He is a powerful and agile player, who likes playing in the spaces and he has a very good tackle technique.”
