Catalans sign Jodie Broughton for 2016

Catalans Dragons have revealed that winger Jodie Broughton will be joining them on a two-year deal ahead of the 2016 season.

Currently at Huddersfield Giants, where he has scored 16 tries in 30 games since joining in 2014.

“I am really looking forward to joining the Catalans Dragons,” said the 27-year-old.

“It is a massive opportunity for me at this stage of my career and just the challenge I was looking for.”

Broughton has additional Super League experience with Hull FC and Salford, and he has also played for England Knights.

Catalans coach Laurent Fryayssinous is looking forward to working with a player of such pace and finishing ability.

“It is very pleasing to have reached agreement with Jodie to bring him to the Dragons for the next two seasons,” he said.

“He is one of the fastest players in the competition and has the qualities we were looking for. He is a great finisher and has valuable experience in the competition.”
