Catalans Dragons are set to welcome their 100,000th British supporter to Perpignan on Saturday July 24 when they host Warrington Wolves at Aime Giral Stadium in Perpignan.

The game will coincide with a weekend of celebrations for the Dragons, who are currently in their fifth season as an Engage Super League club.
The fun kicks off on the evening of Friday July 23 when Gilbert Brutus Stadium hosts a live screening of the Engage Super League clash between Hull FC and Wigan Warriors, when fans will be served a full Catalan barbeque banquet.

Prior to kick-off of the match against Warrington, fans can feast on Catalans cuisine and local wines at the Catalan Market, the centrepiece of which will be a giant paella.

Catalans Dragons’ Media Manager Yannick Rey said: “We hope that not only Warrington Wolves supporters make their way to Perpignan, but Rugby League fans across the UK come over to take in a weekend showcasing Engage Super League rugby in France.”

Nigel Wood, the RFL’s Chief Executive, said: “That almost 100,000 fans have crossed the Channel to watch live Engage Super League action in France in a little over four years is a testimony to the success of Catalans Dragons.

“The Catalans always make for excellent hosts and Perpignan is a wonderful city for visiting supporters. I’m sure that all the Warrington fans who make the trip will have a weekend to remember.”

Following the game, City Square in Perpignan will host a night of celebrations as Catalans Dragons celebrate their fifth year in Rugby League’s top flight.

Giant screens will project images of the Dragons in action since their arrival in the Engage Super League and the identity of the 100,000 British supporter to visit Perpignan will be revealed. The lucky fan will be rewarded with a fully inclusive package to a Catalans Dragons game in 2011.
