Catalans set to confirm two British signings as trio depart

Catalans are set to make the long-anticipated signings of Wales international prop Gil Dudson and England back-rower Mike McMeeken.

Dudson, 30, was first linked with the Dragons back in March, a move which was confirmed by then-Salford coach Ian Watson, and will join their ever-increasing contingent of former Wigan players, that already includes the Tomkins brothers, Tom Davies and Michael McIlorum.

Joining him in making the switch to Perpignan is Hampshire-born McMeeken, after six seasons at Castleford.

The former London Broncos man has made more than 150 Super League appearances and played twice for England back in 2017.

Forwards Sam Moa and Mika Simon played their final games for the club in the play-off defeat to St Helens last week, with their exits having already been confirmed.

Also out of contract is Papua New Guinea utility back David Mead, who will not be offered a new deal, and is rumoured to be on his way back to the NRL with Brisbane Broncos.
