Catalans release Damien Cardace

Catalans Dragons have confirmed that Damien Cardace has been released from his contract at the club with immediate effect.

This is so that he can return to his French domestic club, FC Lezignan, for the start of their season in September.

To replace him, the Dragons have called up 22-year-old Jordan Sigimeau from their feeder club St Esteve-XIII Catalan.

Sigimeau has been on loan at Whitehaven in the Championship, where he scored three tries in six games for the Cumbrian outfit.
