Catalans receive positive injury news on duo

Catalans pair David Mead and Kenny Edwards left the field with concussion in their loss to St Helens at the weekend but the club have received reassuring news on them.

Papua New Guinea captain Mead left the action and didn’t return in the early stages of the game following a an in the air collision with Regan Grace.

And back-rower Edwards was taken off on the half hour mark in the Dragons’ 50-14 defeat to Saints, having also suffered concussion.

The sport’s concussion protocol has ruled the pair out of Friday night’s game against Hull FC, but that is the only match they will miss.

Mead and Edwards will be free to return in next Saturday’s Challenge Cup home tie against Doncaster.
