The five Catalans Dragons players that were arrested by West Yorkshire Police in Leeds on Sunday night have now returned to Perpignan.

The players were arrested after a brawl in a bar in Leeds city centre, hours after Catalans’ 28-20 loss at Wakefield. They were released on bail earlier this week.

Upon return, the players all met with Catalans chairman Bernard Guasch and members of the board and explained their side of the story, a club statement said.

It continued: “The players have been advised by the club to put this incident behind them and concentrate on their Rugby League.

“The five players have been back in training this morning in order to prepare for their next Engage Super League fixture away at Harlequins this Sunday.”
