Sam Tomkins returns for the Dragons

Catalans Dragons will be without Man of Steel Sam Tomkins for Friday night’s trip to Warrington in round four of Super League.

Steve McNamara’s side are without nine first team players for their clash with Warrington. Micky McIlorum, Dylan Napa and Gil Dudson are suspended. Tomkins, Julian Bousquet, Mathieu Laguerre, Dean Whare and Arthur Mourgue are out injured.

Joe Chan has been ruled out after suffering concussion at Leeds last week.

However, Catalans will welcome back forward Mickael Goudemand after he completed his return to play protocol. Corentin Le Cam, Romain Franco, Florian Vailhen and Cesar Rouge have also been named.

Meanwhile, Warrington will welcome back three players this week. Back-rowers Ben Currie and Oliver Holmes will boost Daryl Powell’s forward pack.

Currie sat out last week’s win in Toulouse with a sternum injury. Holmes is back after serving his suspension.

Star half-back Gareth Widdop will also return after having missed the Toulouse trip through illness.

Warrington’s number nine Daryl Clark will play his 300th career game. Prop Joe Bullock will reach the 200 milestone on Friday.

The Super League round four clash takes place at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday night, 8pm kick-off.
