Catalans Dragons deepened Salford's relegation worries with a 13 try rout in France as the City Reds fell four points adrift at the bottom of Super League.

There were hat tricks for Adam Mogg and Justin Murphy to send Salford back home with a lot to think about, with just 3 wins from 14 games.

The writing was on the wall from the off for Salford, Mogg crossing after just three minutes, with Murphy doubling that advantage moments later. Mogg added his second, together with a try from Cyril Gossard, with a brace from Thomas Bosc putting Catalans 30-0 up inside 20 minutes, Bosc adding three goals in that time.

In front of another highly impressive crowd of almost 9,000, Catalans cut loose. Casey McGuire, Clint Greenshields and Jerome Guisset adding their names to the scoresheet.

Salford were left to celebrate a consolation effort by Luke Dorn, but in truth they were outclassed by an impressive and motivated Dragons side.

Catalans now found themselves 7th in the table, with 3 teams just 1 point above them. Just 3 points separates 4th and 11th in Super League
