Catalans have booked their spot in the next round of the Challenge Cup with a 36-point win over Batley.

The Dragons proved too strong for their Championship opponents, going ahead 12-0 at half-time through tries to Fouad Yaha Vincent Duport.

In the second half Duport bagged another and tries came from Richie Myler, Dave Taylor and Tony Gigot.

Catalans were ahead 34-0 when Batley struck back through Alex Brown on the left wing.

Dominic Brambani couldn’t convert from the sideline.

Gigot notched his second for the night and the score finished up 40-4.
