St Helens captain James Roby popped a dislocated finger back in during his side’s victory over Hull in Super League Round 12.

The Saints claimed a 24-10 victory over Hull at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday. Hooker Roby was filmed popping his finger back into place following a tackle from Connor Wynne. The 36-year-old continued to play after and put in a kick to win his side a goal-line drop-out.

Josh Thewlis injury

Warrington youngster Josh Thewlis suffered a lower leg injury during the club’s defeat to Catalans. Named at full-back, Thewlis received treatment in the second half but remained on the field in some discomfort. Daryl Powell’s side face St Helens on Thursday night at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

No injury concerns for Wakefield

Wakefield boss Willie Poching confirmed no major injury news for his side following their defeat to Toulouse on Sunday.

Trinity fell to a 20-16 defeat away to Toulouse, leaving just a two point gap between the two at the bottom of the table. Wakefield face Leeds in Round 13 at Headingley Stadium on Friday.

Speaking post match, Poaching said: “I don’t think we have any major injury issues from this game, we’ve just got to get up and go at Headingley against a team with a new coach and a spring in its step.

“There’s still a lot to play for, a lot in front of us, and we’ve got to get those wins and get them soon.”

Brad Fash update

Brad Fash left the field with a head knock during Hull’s defeat away at the Totally Wicked Stadium. He was taken to hospital following the injury, but the club have confirmed since then that scans have come back all clear.

He will miss the club’s home game against Wigan this Saturday due to concussion protocols.

Salford hit with illnesses

Salford head coach Paul Rowley revealed that his side had been battling with illnesses ahead of their game against Leeds.

Sam Luckley is the only player to have tested positive for Covid-19, and will miss their trip to Castleford on Friday.
