Brodie Croft injury

Influential half-back Brodie Croft looks likely to miss Saturday’s semi-final clash against St Helens. The 25-year-old left the field during the win over Huddersfield with a head knock and did not return to play in the second half.

Following the game, head coach Paul Rowley admitted that he hadn’t taken a head test. Instead, he was ruled out of the rest of the game from what was shown on screen.

“At this point, I’m assuming he’s out,” the Salford boss said. “I’m fairly sure he will be. It’s a big blow. Sometimes it’s not meant to be and the story is written a little bit different.

“There’s obviously one week and then there’s one after that. The job for the rest of the group is to ensure Brodie gets another outing and a fantastic season hasn’t ended today.”

More international worries

There are concerns around Danny Levi’s World Cup campaign following his injury in the fixture against Salford. The 26-year-old hooker qualifies for both New Zealand and Samoa, and Huddersfield boss Ian Watson admitted his player was eyeing up a spot with the latter.

Watson revealed the injury was a suspected MCL blow, having been forced from the field in the first half.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Oliver Wilson is set to miss England Knights’ upcoming games against Scotland and France ‘B’. The forward missed the game against the Red Devils and looks set for a spell on the sidelines that will see him miss out the opportunity to play in Paul Anderson’s side.

He received his first call-up to the squad earlier in August.

Leeds latest

Impressive forward Morgan Gannon will miss the club’s semi-final clash against Wigan this Friday. The 18-year-old failed his head injury assessment against Catalans.

Meanwhile, Rohan Smith will be monitoring the fitness of prop forward Mikolaj Oledzki after he sustained a shoulder injury in the 20-10 victory in Perpignan.
