Castleford have extended a loan agreement with Featherstone for the services of Calum Turner for the remainder of the season.

The promising full-back linked up with Championship side Rovers on an initial one-month loan in January and this has now been extended for the rest of 2019.

Castleford have the option of recalling Turner should he be required for first-team duties with the Tigers.

On extending Turner’s loan, Featherstone general manager Steve Gill said: “We are pleased to have secured Callum here at the Rovers for the remainder of the 2019 season and although the Tigers can recall him if he’s required by Daryl [Powell], the agreement means he will then return to Featherstone and no one else for the remainder of the season.

“Calum has been really good for us in the four games he has played already and seeing him mature by playing regularly here at the Rovers can only benefit all parties.

“I would like to thank Jon (Wells) at the Tigers for agreeing to the loan extension.”
