Castleford want to make it count

Castleford Tigers are looking to build on last week’s fine draw at Leeds, and beat Hull FC on Thursday evening.

Cas halfback Liam Finn knows that good performances count for little unless they are turned into wins at the business end of the season.

“We have put ourselves in a good positon going into the last stretch,” said the Irish international, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“But it won’t count for much unless we kick on for the last third and make these big games count.

“All we have done up to now is put ourselves in a good position. We are expecting a tough game this week, Hull are usually good at home, tough to beat and really physical.

“We are expecting them to bounce back from last week and really come out of the blocks. I am sure Radders [coach Lee Radford] will have them fired up and there’s quite a lot for them to play for.”

Tigers foward Lee Jewiit, meanwhile, believes that Cas are providing good entertainment for TV viewers at the moment.

“It’s another tough one,” he said, referring to the game against FC.

“It seems like we are on TV every week, but that is a compliment to the club and the way we are playing, that people would want to see us play.

“It is all good and we will just keep kicking on.”
