New Castleford centre Cheyse Blair has made his way to the UK overnight to link up with his new club.

Blair, 27, signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Tigers earlier this month, joining from Melbourne Storm.

He has been awaiting visa clearance and has continued to train with the Storm, but the club confirmed yesterday evening that he had boarded a flight to the UK.

Blair said: “I am really excited and pumped to be joining the club. I am looking forward to getting over there, meeting everyone and ripping in. I know Castleford have the best rugby league community and fans and I can’t wait to hear their roar!”

The Australian could make his debut in the televised home clash against Warrington on Friday.
