Castleford see off Salford

An undermanned Castleford has seen off Salford 32-18 in a the Challenge Cup at the Jungle.

With a hooker and a prop in the halves, in Paul McShane and Grant Millington, the Tigers impressed in defeating the Red Devils.

McShane ran the show and scored one try while setting up several.

The game was in the balance at half-time at 18-12, but Castleford secured their win in the second half.

Denny Solomona bagged two and so did Junior Sa’u in an entertaining game.

There were a number of unfortunate injuries with Nathan Massey dislocating his kneecap and Sa’u being forced off in the second half.
