Castleford loan another young Warrior

Castleford have signed a second loan player from Wigan in the shape of back-rower Chris Tuson.

The Tigers have recently had Warriors winger Shaun Ainscough turn out for them on the wing, and 20-year-old Tuson has now moved to The Jungle on a one-month loan deal.

Tigers coach Terry Matterson said: “Chris is a player I have been looking at for a few weeks and would have liked to have brought him in earlier had we not had Wigan coming up when I couldn’t have played him. But it’s worked well, he got a run out on Sunday and I thought that he looked very competent. He is an aggressive strong running back rower and I’m sure he will prove a very useful addition to the squad.”

He goes straight in to the squad to face Crusaders on Friday having played against Castleford for Wigan in their match last Sunday, in only his second appearance for the Warriors.

He has recently appeared for Championship 1 Blackpool on a dual-registration deal.
