Castleford forced to play in Halifax kit

Correspondent

Castleford have been forced to play in a Halifax kit this evening with their match against Huddersfield due to a kit clash with their opponents.

In bizarre circumstances which saw kick off delayed initially to 6pm because of a technical fault, it was noted in the warm up that both sides were playing in near identical kits.

With the game being played at The Shay Stadium in Halifax, the Castleford team turned to the hosts to provide them with kits which didn’t clash with the Giants.

Thankfully, Halifax employee Hilda Hardy downed tools in her garden to respond to Castleford’s SOS call and assist the Tigers in suiting up in their Yorkshire rivals’ kit, much to the astonishment of both fans at the ground and those watching on SKY TV.
