Castleford coach Daryl Powell believes his side can play their way out of their indifferent form.

The Tigers suffered their eighth defeat in nine matches in all competitions on Sunday as they went down to a 48-6 defeat against Hull at the KCOM Stadium.

Powell said: “Tough game. We couldn’t find a way back in.

“Disappointing, we are in a really tough situation, but we have to find a way out of it. We have got to keep our resolve.

“I felt we worked hard to try and get back in the game, but they were too strong for us today.

“I think you have to keep demanding high standards from each other. We aren’t going to get out of it by feeling sorry for ourselves.

“We have to build our confidence through performance. Building wins out will help confidence.”
