Carvell given contract deadline

Hull FC‘s Gareth Carvell has been given a time limit by which he has to accept or reject the offer of a new three-year contract.nnHead coach Richard Agar has given the prop, 28, a deadline by which to make a decision on the new deal, with Carvell’s hesitation increasing speculation that he may join St Helens next season.nnThe KC Stadium club are keen to tie down the Great Britain international, with the contracts of fellow forwards Scott Wheeldon, Paul King and Jamie Thackray also set to expire at the end of the season.nnHead coach Agar explained that the offer won’t be on the table forever, and said Carvell must come to a decision within the next few weeks.nn”There’s a club time limit and it’s definitely a lot less than in the next month. I was expecting the decision towards the end of last week so for me it’s running over,” Agar told the Hull Daily Mail.nn”We have a big offer out to Garreth which will impact on the way we put the rest of the squad together. It’s not fair on the other blokes to keep them hanging on,” he added.
