Sydney Roosters five-eighth Todd Carney and St George lock Jeremy Smith have been cleared by the NRL match review committee to play in the Grand Final.

Carney escaped suspension for a high tackle on Gold Coast halfback Scott Prince by pleading guilty to a low-grade charge.

Smith also pleaded guilty to dangerous contact after appearing to knee Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri in the other preliminary final at ANZ Stadium.

Consequently he escapes a 1-week suspension.
