Justin Carney has been linked with a new contract at Salford that will tie him to the club for the next three years.

Carney joined the Red Devils in November on a one-year loan from Castleford.

It is believed the Australian is set to stay at the AJ Bell Stadium on a new deal until the end of the 2019 season.

Carney has been in impressive form for Salford in 2016. The blockbusting winger leads Super League in metres with 1653 and is third in the competition in tackle busts with 45.

Carney has crossed for five tries and set up two this season.
